Administrative Updates
First of all, the archives are current through the end of May. I am still working on June and July.
Second, I did something I’m not happy with when I added the initial set of archives (by “the initial set,” I mean the archives that were already uploaded by the time I announced on Sunday, August 5th, that Independent Needlework News was up and running), and then I compounded the error, so I will be removing the picture files in most of those, and then adding them from scratch. Basically, I currently have the same file taking up space on the server two and in some case three times, but I am unable to delete just the repeated files without affecting the pictures showing in the posts. Therefore, the fix is to delete the files altogether and reload them from scratch. I will probably be doing this late at night US time, but if you see missing picture files, this is why. I’ll post an Administrative Update later to let you know the fix should be completed. (Then if anyone finds any picture files still not showing up, it will be something I missed — meaning I’d appreciate a comment or an email letting me know you found it so that I can fix it.
)
Third, and most importantly, Jenna Magee has graciously volunteered to give me some technical support and help me learn some of the technical aspects of WordPress for which I am having a bit of difficulty managing my rather large learning curve in a timely fashion. This will probably mean you’ll see me thanking her quite a bit for various things, and I would like to encourage you to please help me thank her by keeping her online needlework store, One Star’s Light Needlework Supplies, nice and busy. It would be terrific if she were able to quit her paying job and tell me to find someone else because One Star’s Light is orbiting faster than she can believe!
Lastly, at least for the moment, you’ll probably see the look of the site start changing now, as that’s part of what Jenna is going to help me do. Those kinds of things can look a bit goofy while you’re playing around getting things the way you really like them, so I just want to ask for your patience. It’s kind of like when you move into a new place, and you want to give it a fresh coat of paint in your own choice of colors … I need to do a bit of that around here myself before it will really feel like home.

You’ll learn it all in no time and be fancying things up so much you can’t believe it. And look at all the fun you’ll be having, too!

Thanks, Susan … I’m already having a lot of fun, but I’m not getting enough sleep, LOL … or enough stitching time.
